Kim Shelby has served as the Associate Director of Children’s Ministries at Houston’s First Baptist Church for over 12.5 years.  Before her work in full-time children’s ministry, she taught every elementary grade (except 3rd) for a total of 19 years at two different Christian schools in Houston.  She graduated with honors from Texas A&M with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Special Education.  She has spoken at ASCI Conferences, the Equip Conference, the Texas Ministry Conference, and several churches throughout the Houston area.

Kim’s favorite thing to do is teach God’s Word to elementary children and watch them grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.  In her spare time, she loves to spend time with friends, family, and her two dogs.
